Trebah Gardens;
A couple of days ago, me and three of my lovely housemates ventured to Trebah Gardens, which was about a twenty minute drive from Falmouth town. It was such a beautiful place, with the gardens crawling down the valley to the little beach at the bottom, serving delicious clotted cream Ice-creams. It really did feel like we'd either just walked onto the set of Jurassic Park, or we'd become fairies as we were ducking beneath (what looked like) massive lily-pads on stalks (I can't remember the name of the species, oops!). We were really lucky with the weather too as it turned out to be a surprisingly sunny day, which meant we could lounge on the beach for a little bit, watching the boats sail by. Sometimes I have to pinch, and remind, myself that this is where I go to University. I really am very lucky, living no more than five minutes away from the seaside. Even if, especially around the winter time when it tends to rain non-stop in Cornwall, I don't always remember just how lucky I am, I really need to cherish it more as I only have one more year here, terrifying! Right, enough with the depressing talk!
After visiting Trebah, I really can't wait to explore more of the gardens in Cornwall, there's so many that are just a stone's throw from where I live, and they all sound truly beautiful. Do you have any gardens that you visit a lot? There must be some near where I live in Kent that I should visit over the summer.
I've only got the rest of this month in Cornwall until I journey back home, and I have my work placement in July that i'm pretty excited and terrified about! Hope your exams are going okay if you've still got them, I feel for those of you doing A-levels!
The deadline for nominations for the Cosmo's Newcomer Blog Award is coming up pretty quickly, and it would really mean so much to me if you would vote for my little blog if you enjoy reading it! I feel a bit cheeky for asking, but thank you! I've left a little link at the end of this post.
Love, Charlestown xoxo.
