Class of 2013!

Nearly three weeks ago I graduated, and that's a pretty scary thing to think! Time has flown by since, the day after my graduation we rushed home to do some last minute packing before leaving for Florida the following morning. After having spent most of my time when writing my dissertation day-dreaming about Graduation Day and finally leaving University, the day itself was a bit of a blur and was over before I knew it. Many dress, hair and make-up panics later, I donned the gown and cap and was ready to pick up my degree, and I think that's when it finally sunk in that all the hard work, stress, late nights and crappy food paid off and got me a 2.1! I had such an amazing day; I was surrounded by all of my closest and best course friends (Hello Sheri!), everyone was happy and clearly relieved, I was able to say goodbye to Falmouth and some of my lecturers, plus, the ceremony couldn't have been anywhere nicer than Truro Cathedral. Also, I didn't trip or even slip over all day (luck must have been on my side!).

I didn't have any time on the day to take outfit pictures, but i'm so glad I decided to wear this pretty Dahlia dress. I wanted to wear something that I love and feel comfortable in, whilst still wearing something pretty special, I mean, you only graduate once right? More than enough for me anyway, ha. I love the lace detail and just how much of it there is, making it look pretty rather than a little frumpy. I couldn't not wear my nude block heels from Zara to help my stumpy legs, even if I was regretting it by the end of the evening, just a little!
P.S. I found this Graduation hat in DisneyWorld, how could I not buy it?! It even says 'Class of 2013' on it, perfect.
