Quite some time ago, I was told by my mum and dad to visit a little hideaway hut hidden from a beach not too far away from Falmouth, but due to University deadlines I could never quite justify the drive that it required. However, if I had known just how close by it was I would have visited so much sooner than I had, it was just perfect! The Hidden Hut was quite literally hidden away from the beach and the coastal walk, and we only found it after traipsing across the cliff walk from the car park. Selling delicious focaccia sandwiches, soups and stews, handmade cakes and Cornish ice-creams, I of course went for a scrumptious ice-cream and a milkshake. Well, it is summer right?! They do evening events too, including a Paella night which they cook over a special stove on the side of the cliff overlooking the beautiful and secluded beach, could it get any better? After scoffing on ice-cream, me and Alessio explored the cove and walked to the cliff point which housed a little Coastal Watch hut decorated with the Union Jack flag. If you are ever in Cornwall, I really would recommend taking a trip to Porthcurnick Beach and the Hidden Hut, just outside of St. Mawes, it being a lovely little secluded spot.
Probably not the best choice, but I wore my new River Island dress (does anyone else think it looks a little like one by Mink Pink?) which had a tendency to keep blowing up in the wind, so cue me walking along the cliff with my hands strapped to my sides! Although it was boiling hot too, the wind was pretty chilly, hence why I'm sporting a leather jacket in June, ha. The weather here in Falmouth has been so hot the past couple of days, even to the point where i've felt like I need to hide away indoors from fear of melting. How am I going to cope with the heat and humidity in Florida during July?! We're on the lookout for some places to eat or just visit in Florida, so if you would recommend anywhere let me know!
